Question?

So my question is, how important is it to get a pack-n-play? This is a very serious issue. One that I was thinking about at about 3:30 am. Yes 3:30 am. Sleep is not coming very natural right now. I have a belly that won't allow me to do much sleeping so I think about Pack-n-plays and high chairs, among MANY other things, and I wonder if that is something we need to have before the baby comes. Is it?
I leave you with Rainy. When we were having spring, Rainy got a bath. Her first since 1994. No kidding, she was not alive in 1994!
One final note if you want to laugh really hard and have your day completely made for you please go to Annie, Dan, and Will's blog (just click on their name) and look at the video of him laughing. I promise you he will make your day!

Yes, you need a pak-n-play. We used one for Gracie's bassinet beside our bed for the first couple of months. After that, we really have only used it for a travel crib. I would love for her to be able to sleep in the bed when we travel, but she likes to crawl around, fling herself off the bed, pull our eyelids, "pet" our cheeks like she does the pups, squeal, etc. if trained early, some babies will hang out in one while parents do chores, and they do this without screaming. i don't have one of those kids, but it's a really nice idea. the super fancy ones are not necessary, however.

give the belly a rub for us!

i have a bassinet for beside the bed for the beginning, but i think that the travel issue is the main one. don't you?

They are really nice to have for travel. Most hotels have them though, but I usually leave mine at my mom's house who we frequent often. It was a cheap one that I didn't mind just leaving there so we didn't have to tote it. They are kind of bulky! Ahhh...and I miss Spring too!

We have one. We didn't use it at all until last month and now all the sudden we use it all the time. We use it when we travel, at Gramma's house, outside this SPRING (whatever- there is no Spring).

I really don't think you need a $400 one, but a nice $50 one without all the gizmos is nice to have around...because you just never know.

are there really $50 ones? the one we registered for is $150 or so.

if you check craigslist.com, you can probably find one for $20.

I agree. You dont need a fancy one with a bunch of gizmos. THey just get in the way. We got a 50 dollar one at target and use it everyday...of course at work but. We LOVE it for traveling and have used it tons outside of work. Even Gracie used it. If you plan on taking trips...which I know you will at the beach... get one with a bassinet attachment for when she is little. You likely wont need it until you start traveling around and going placed over night. But you will need one. They are so wonderful and fold up so easy and small.
