It is finished.

I finished my 1st scarf!  I am so proud.  It is not going to win any knitting awards, and I could not really figure out what to do with the loose ends, so they are woven in and tied in knots, and I am pretty sure I added the extra yarn wrong, but it is big, and it is warm, and it is cozy, and I LOVE IT!  I think that one of the benefits of using chunky yarn is that it hides your mistakes, that is a very good thing for me.  I still really don't have much of a desire to make anything else but a scarf, but I really want to get more yarn now and make the scarf I set out to make in the first place.  Wish me luck, it calls for 2 different yarns being used at the same time!

Sweet Girl is having a time right now as her canine teeth are coming in.  She was a little grumpy on Sunday and we could not figure it out and then I look in her mouth yesterday and there is the little white bud in her mouth.  AHA!  Oh the joys of teething.  She is pretty much going to be teething the rest of her life it seems!  She still remains such a precious child though.  She seems to be more and more like me lately as well.  She loves cozy things and anytime there is something soft she has to lay on it and pet it and talk to it like a dog.  It is actually one of the sweeter things I have ever seen and a bit funny!  Oh and by the way, don't you just LOVE those pants.  My mom got her this whole outfit, but the bodysuit is on back order so we are using a different top right now.  I will most pictures once the whole outfit is complete, but I just love the pants.  They are from Chasing Fireflies, a real cute children's website.

Do you feel it?  Do you hear it?  It is Rocktober 1st!  The best month of the year.  The breeze is blowing, the air is crisp, the leaves are rustling.  It is here, FALL is here!  To celebrate I made No Bake Cashew Brittle Bars that are oh so good, and oh so easy.  No hard boiling eggs there!  All these pumpkins on our front stoop are from our garden (at least all the ways that did not rot by now).  I still need to get one real big dude, and then my little pumpkin batch will be complete!

You did it! It looks amazing!!! Great job, Sun, I knew you could handle it ;) I'm with you, I could just sit and make scarves for every day of the month. I like making little tassles on the ends of my scarves, or gathering then ends and joining them to a fuzzy pompom, except I always forget how to make the pompom and have to go searching.

Beautiful Sunday. I envy that you are one of those people who says "I want to learn to knit" and actually does it. I have a long long list of stuff I have said I want to do or am going to do and have never followed through. I am sure that is where BR gets her resolve to do something also. So many pumpkins...I only think I have 1 in the works...so sad.

That scarf is awesome, it really is just perfect, makes me want to get all cozy. You are so talented at everything you set out to do. You have made me very excited about Fall, I mean I was excited before but now I'm pumped.
And......Grandmommy Karen really knows how to pick the winners doesn't she? Can she shop for Will too?

BR looks so old in that first picture! And her sweet little teeth... Rocktober makes me want to bundle up in your scarf with you and drink cold beer on a chilly porch.

Ooh, Annie, I could get in on that. I love that scarf! I am so impressed. Did you end up having to get bigger needles?
I am going to check out that website because those pants are adorable. I really liked the frenchybaby one, too. I haven't talked to Steph yet, but it's right up her alley. I'm sure she'll love it.
