Game ON!

The game is on folks. BellaRose is officially a crawler. She is 9 months today, and yet another milestone. She likes doing things big when she changes age. IT. IS. JUST. HOW. SHE. ROLLS. She is not fast by any means. Just slow and steady. I hear that always wins the race. I can still put her on the floor and know she won't get into anything too terrible, at least not before I can catch her. Of course she is atrracted to wires and cords, and glass. Why would she not be! We also got our jogger stroller the other day so now I have some real accountability. I can't just let that nice new stroller sit there and not use. It is intended to go over some serious terrain and at a fast speed, mind you. So game on, I am up to the challenge, but I will do it once the weather is nicer ; ).
OK~look at this cutest outfit ever that I got BellaRose for the summer, eerr actually lets just say the spring, not sure if it will fit in the summer. I mean does she not look like she is going to go on a safari in that outfit. Maybe she could join Chris Baxter in the Peace Corps, while he is in Africa. Or maybe we will just pretend our backyard is Africa. I like that idea much better!
~Hey, go check out Jessica's blog for some super exciting news. I can't tell you, just look!

You maybe tired of hearing about cake, but I am in the depths of cake making and decorating so you will just have to bare with me. This is the terribly tacky pastel nightmare of a cake I made the other night. The teacher tells us to practice, practice, practice....so I did. I practiced my stars like it was going out of style. This cakes icing has crumbs all in it, but I iced another cake last night, and not one crumb to be found! SO excited. It's the little things right?
Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and you eat some cake (hint) and hope you find out some wonderful news. If you do, don't forget to share.
PS~check out my "goodreads" over there on the left. If you have an account don't forget to add me as a friend. My other account messed up.

Dom, you HAVE to watch "Aces of Cakes" on the food network. It comes on at 10:30 on Thursday nights, but they have lots of repeats. I love it. I would love to be in a cake baking class. It looks like tons of fun! congrats on the crawler. Em is rocking back and forth and moving backwards. She may not be far behind!

Ok, I know I just saw Bella Rose the other day, but whether it is the adorable outfit, the talented photographer, or just her new-found confidence in crawling and being a "Big Girl," but BR looks so grown up! She is so cute and just gets cuter. Nice cake too...I hope worth likes pastels! Next you need to make a camo cake for him!

Sunday! BellaRose is getting so big! She looks so much older in these pictures! Such a cute outfit too!

I bet Worth loved his "manly-pink" cake! Great stars by the way! I'm very impressed!

Cute...cute to bad I don't have a little grandson to introduce.

Ok so I keep reading about and seeing these cakes, so when are we Michiganders getting one? Or at least the recipe. Please
Jim

well it is pretty complicated. I am not sure most people are up to the task. it is called Duncan Hines, and the really hard part is the adding the water :). i am kidding sort of. the cakes i make for class are from a box and the frosting we have to make for the class calls for way too much crisco, but I do have a fabulous recipe for homemade cake and real buttercream frosting. i will share later.
BellaRose is pretty darn cute.

Oh my gosh. That's all I can say. I actually said it out loud when I saw that picture of her in the outfit. She's unbelievably cute. Do you ever get used to it?

Love the safari outfit. I wish things like that looked as cute on us grown-ups as they do on little people like Bella Rose! The stars on the cake are fun - where did you get the gel-looking icing for them? Also, how did ya get that nifty goodreads thing on your blog, that shows what books are in your account? Very cool, I want to add it to my blog page! HAPPY Saturday, Sunday! :)

I just saw the old navy comercial and they called her outfit, and urban jumper, she wears it so well. I should take a picture of my silly cake and put in my blog too.

Okay, BellaRose is looking so grown up!! I can't believe how much she has changed just since I last saw her!!! Gorgeous little thing! It won't be long before she's one! (I'll always remember her b-day since it's the same as Landon's--Isn't that weird?) :o)
